Ben Nicholson-Smith of MLBTradeRumors.com reports that the Phillies and rightfielder Hunter Pence have agreed to a one-year, $10.4 million deal, avoiding arbitration.
Pence was the last arbitration eligible player left on the Phillies, so they now have all of them signed for 2012.
Pence, who will be a free agent in 2013, originally requested an $11.8 million deal, and the Phillies offered $9 million.
The $10.4 million Pence will receive is the midway point between both sides amounts.
