MLB.com and local awards handed out, more to be announced

Individual awards were given out by the MLB.com editors for the Phillies, as well as the orginization's annual franchise awards, that are voted on by the Philadelphia chapter of the Baseball Writers' Association of America.
MLB.com awarded first baseman Ryan Howard as the Phillie's Player of the Year.

Pitcher Roy Halladay was chosen as the team's Pitcher of the Year, and fellow pitcher Vance Worley was awarded with Breakout Player of the Year.

The Phillies named center fielder Shane Victorino their MVP and honored him with the Mike Schmidt Award.

Cliff Lee was named the team's most valuable pitcher in winning the Steve Carlton Award.

This news was reported by the Phillie's website, and there is still more awards to be given across Major League Baseball, including Manager of the year (Charlie Manuel is a nomination), Rookie of the Year (Vance Worley is a nomination), and the Cy Young Award (Roy Halladay and Cliff Lee are nominated).
