We now know Ryan Howard's recovery time. Six months.
Howard had surgery yesterday to repair his torn left achillies. The Phillies confrimed that the surgery was successful, then Ruben Amaro Jr. discussed the timetable for his return.
"It's going to be five to six months from the surgery until he can play at his accustomed level," said Amaro.
Amaro and the rest of the Phillies orginization hopes Howard will be back in the lineup in time for April, and won't miss too much time.
