The Phillies bats have been quiet since the beginning of this young season, but they woke up on Wednesady night.

After the Marlins scored a run in the top of the second, thanks to a sacrifice ground out by Josh Johnson to drive in Omar Infante, the Phillies struck with a five run third inning.

With Juan Pierre on second, Placido Polanco reached first on an error by Jose Reyes on the throw to first, which allowed Polanco to reach second.

Then Jimmy Rollins singled to knock in Polanco, and Hunter Pence singled in the next at-bat to bring in Rollins.

With Shane Victorino on second and Pence on third with two outs. Miami's Josh Johnson intentionally walked Carlos Ruiz to pitch to rookie Freddy Galvis.

On Monday, Galvis finally got his first Major League hit. As Galvis stepped up to the plate Wednesday night, the crowd started chanting FREDDY!

Galvis made Johnson pay, with a double to right that scored Pence and Victorino, and put the Phillies up 5-1.

Johnson only pitched 3.2 innings for the Marlins, allowing six earned runs off 11 hits and a walk.

Meanwhile, Roy Halladay took over, pitching 7.0 innings with three strikeouts. Halladay only allowed an earned run off five hits and one walk.

The Phillies scored two more runs, and would go on to win 7-1.
