Phillies lose to Pirates in the ninth

In the series finale against the Pittsburgh Pirates, the Phillies tacked on four runs thanks to Hunter Pence's first homer of the year, and a crucial double by Jaun Pierre. But the Phillies could not hold on, as the Pirates were able to come back and win 5-4 in walk-off fashion.

Run support absent in the home opener

Cole Hamels' first start of the season was a rough one. Hamels allowed four runs in five and a third innings. The Phillies hitting did not hold up as well either, which is becoming a huge problem early on. The Marlins spoil the Phils home opener by handing them a 6-2 loss.
