I know this doesn't involve the Phillies (well kind of, conasidering the rain outs), but it's important none the less.
Mayor Michael Nutter has declared a State of Emergency in Philadelphia, due to the impending hurricane. State of Emergencies have also been declared in New Jersey and Delaware as well due to Hurricane Irene.Most shores and coastal areas have been evacuated, and low-lying areas are now being evacuated as well.
Stay inside, and do not go out unless it is absolutely neccesary.
Stay away from windows
Be prepared for power outages.
Call 911, only if there is an emergency.
