Shortstop Jimmy Rollins has been placed on the DLand will not return until September.

Rollins was diagnosed with a strained right groin after having an MRI this morning, he was the first to break through Twitter.

"Soooooo this is what we got...mild grade 2 strain. DL."

Rollins later tweeted about his return, "Gone till September.......".

He left in the third inning of Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Nationals, after straining his groin fielding a ground ball and throwing out Washington's catcher Jesus Flores at first in the scond inning.
