The Phillies had an open roster spot with Cole Hamels on the DL, so they recalled utility player Pete Orr from Triple A Lehigh ValleyOrr will be with the Phillies at least until Sunday, when Hamels is eligible to come off the DL. This will be his third time on the team this year.
The 32 year old Orr hit .271 in 68 games with Lehigh Valley this year, along with five home-runs and 25 RBI's.
